Blacksmith required for the manufacture of complicated forged components ranging from a few pounds up to ½ Ton in weight. All forgings are produced by hand on Massey open die hammers and the applicant must be familiar with the use of this equipment. Applicants should be able to perform the necessary calculations to produce their own work and direct the forge team of hammer driver and striker. Applicants must be able to read engineering drawings and have experience of machining allowances.

PERSONAL PROFILE

2 of 2 - Profiling Coordinator

An opportunity exists for an experienced Profiling Coordinator to join a dynamic manufacturing operation located in Atherton, Manchester, to ensure production targets are achieved. You will have experience CNC controlled Profile burning machinery. Our ideal candidate will be fully conversant with engineering drawings, be able to find the best method for producing parts in terms of quality and efficiency and assist in developing new working methods for new or existing products. You will ensure that work specifications, control plans and work instructions are adhered to, to meet the company's quality plan. The successful candidate will be expected to schedule work to achieve the required delivery date. You will be self-motivated and able to work off your own initiative and communicate with other members of the team..

SKILL SET
• excellent understanding of flame cutting, metal fabrication and machine allowances
• Good self-management skills- you will be methodical with your work processes
• You must have a strong sense of responsibility towards the recording of data and general paperwork
• Experienced in CAD systems- 2D drawings and basic shapes
• In possession of an in date Fork Lift Truck licence
• A dedicated worker who thinks on their feet and can work efficiently

RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:
• Planning work schedules for the Profiling team
• Entering profiles into the log making sure the corresponding plate numbers match
• Producing all the CAD programmes for the machines
• Checking all first offs
• The complete goods inward process for all raw materials into the company, checking the delivered materials against the PO, issuing reference numbers to materials
• Managing the yard and internal stock levels
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles

PERSONAL PROFILE
Previous manufacturing experience is essential. The ideal candidate would have experience in a similar discipline and be highly efficient and organized and also be able to implement and use a variety of machinery and equipment.

RENUMERATON
• Pay: £30k per annum dependant on experience
• 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
• Pension available

HOURS
• 39 Hours/week
• Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am to 3.30pm and Fridays 7am to 2.30pm
